About Us
We are a research center affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences at Universidad de La Frontera, dedicated to the study of Complex Geometry and its applications.
A Research Center
created in 2020
The Research Center Geometry at the Frontier emerged from collaborative work carried out by scholars at Universidad de La Frontera together with national and international researchers in the field of Complex Geometry. Based in the city of Temuco, Chile, the Center promotes research, training, and scientific outreach aimed at strengthening this field of study.
Mission, Vision, and Objectives
What we do
To contribute to the cultivation and development of scientific knowledge in Complex Geometry and its applications, generating knowledge and training advanced human capital in the field, while maintaining a broad national and international network of collaborators and visitors engaged in joint work and grants.
Where we are headed
To be a national and international benchmark in scientific research in Complex Geometry, recognized for its strong capacity to train advanced human capital and produce quality scientific output, and likewise to be a benchmark in teaching the field, creating a national impact.
How we achieve this
To contribute to the cultivation of scientific research in the discipline, supporting undergraduate and graduate education as well as outreach and engagement activities, creating a strong social impact. These activities are aimed at excellence in Complex Geometry research, the training of high-level human capital, and the management of research, development, and outreach grants.
Our Community
The Center brings together researchers, graduate students, and collaborators from various institutions in Chile and abroad, united by the study of Complex Geometry and its connections to other areas of pure mathematics.
Through seminars, international workshops, and collaborative grants, we maintain an active scientific network with institutions across Latin America, Europe, and North America. A community in constant growth from southern Chile.
